Rolling With Mah Hoopies: Self Care through Myofascial Rolling Ok hoopers, it’s time to get Physio!! Self Care is an integral part of any zealous hoop practice in order to keep your hooping body limber and supple. Join Bex Burton, certified Pilates Trainer and foam roller aficionado, for a yummy hour of body rolling targeting hoop-specific areas of the body. We’ll use a number of different rolling physio props learning supported stretches that allow greater range of motion, and self-massage techniques through myofascial release. And for all the geeks in the house, you’ll also receive a healthy dose of anatomical knowledge, including insights into today’s groundbreaking discoveries about fascia!  You’ll leave this workshop walking tall, and return to your hoop feeling light, limber and open!

BIO: Bex Burton is a Certified Pilates Trainer, Hoop Revolution Certified Mentor, Thai Bodyworker and Professional Anatomy Geek. She has a 30 year dance background, and has been teaching movement professionally since 2003. She has taught classes in ballet and modern dance, spinning, cardio and strength training, HoopDance, Pilates mat, and her specialty, rehabilitative private Pilates on the equipment. She’s an expert in leading both individuals and groups through fun, inspiring classes, seamlessly weaving in relevant body knowledge, targeted physical benefits and wellness motivation.
