Loving Second Current Before you run away screaming, consider why? Sure, it feels righteously badass to hoop in our native direction – but isn’t fluidity in both directions truly badass? And beyond that, working both directions is one of our greatest allies in injury prevention and preserving balanced alignment. Let’s put the beginner brain on and add a heaping serving of compassion, and peel back the awkwardness and avoidance of our 2nd current. We’ll break down some basic opposing activations at the waist, and take a good hard look at that elusive second current shoulder hooping. It will never feel native, so let’s dig deep and fall in love with the unique softer side of your hoop practice.
